Fans Predictions on GGG-Wade Were Spot On

The fans who predicted the Golovkin-Wade bout at the Throwdown Scoring mobile app called the fight correctly. 99% of the fans thought Golovkin would win and 73% of them said that GGG would end the fight within Round 4. On Saturday night, Golovkin scored a 2nd round KO win over Wade to increase his knockout streak to 22 and improve is all-time middleweight championship KO ratio to 91.4%.

Golovkin was a heavy favorite coming to the bout, in fact Wade was considered a longshot of longshots in the bout. Although he was the mandatory challenger for Triple G's IBF title, he was a replacement for Taureano Johnson who was injured. Wade was 18-0 with 12 KOs but he had not fought a quality opposition before. It was obvious that GGG was light years better than him hence it was easy for the fans to call their predictions for Golovkin.

Predicting the mode of victory wasn't as easy though. Yes, GGG knocked out his previous 21 opponents but calling the round was tricky. 5 of GGG's last 7 KOs happened from Round 6 onwards although 18 of his total 32 KO victories were scored within Round 4. However, Golovkin's pressure and volume punching were too much for Wade to handle that he didn't last 6 minutes in the ring.

Throwdown Scoring's next featured bout is the Victor Ortiz-Andre Berto rematch on Saturday. Prediction, Live Fight scoring and Live stats will once again be available via the mobile app.
