Not Many Fans Predicted Tabiti-Tapia To Go The Full Route

70% of the fans said this bout wasn't going the distance. And rightfully so, Andrew Tabiti and Keith Tapia had a combined 22 KOs in 29 total wins without a single defeat. But the colossal clash between these two cruiserweights unexpectedly went the full route.

Of the 29.9% of the fans who predicted that the fight would go 10 rounds, 16.6% of them said that Keith Tapia was going to win on points. However, it was the 13.3% who picked Andrew Tabiti to win via decision who were correct.

Tabiti was 12-0 with 11 KOs coming to Friday's bout. That 91.66% KO rate was hard to overlook. Of the 56.6% of the fans who predicted Tabiti would win, 65% of them ( 36.6% out of 56.6%) believed he was going to win by KO. Out of those 65%, more than half said that Tabiti would finish off Tapia from Round 5-8. They were wrong. Not only did Tapia show a decent chin, Tabiti lacked the quality of opposition that would test his power. But despite not knocking out Tapia, Tabiti proved he can win on points. He displayed superior speed and movement, had the better game plan and executed that plan well.
